Coaching & Therapy

My practice is a combination of Ontological Coaching (a study that focuses on Way of Being) and Compassionate Inquiry (a somatic-based psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr Gabor Maté that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world) in my practice. By understanding how the mind-body connection works, it allows us to better learn what debilitates or liberates us, and this awareness creates transformational shifts in being with more sustainable changes.

Given my corporate leadership positions held in various organisations globally, and all the self-leadership work I have done (still doing!), I have the understanding, resonance and language to connect with “leaders”, in both the professional and personal space. I believe that everyone can unlock one's potential and pursue a meaningful career that is aligned with one's vision and values.

 FAQs

  • I was trained in Organizational Coaching with Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL), Ontological Coaching with Newfield by The Coach Partnership, and Compassionate Inquiry by Dr. Gabor Maté. As a coach, I am Associated Certified Coach (ACC). I am also currently embarking in learning various other modalities and this includes Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies (by Linda Thai) and IFS – Internal Family Systems (by Richard Schwartz). To-date, I have over 250 coaching hours and 700+ hours of training-and-self-development through certification programs, courses, summits and conferences.

  • As no two humans are the same, it all boils down to chemistry and how much of what I do, resonates with you. I normally would start with a session to mutually introduce ourselves and I will also take the opportunity to share more about my practice and what to expect. For this non-chargeable first session, you can click on “Let’s connect!” ; this normally comes with my calendar and all my available slots across different time zones and also, some quick questions about you so that there would be better context to our session.

  • I conduct my sessions, both online sessions via Zoom and in-person sessions if we happen to be in the same country. My home base is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For online sessions, I can set up Zoom calls; recording is also possible and this is upon request by you. For in-person sessions, as I do not have a venue for my practice yet (for now at the very least), it is important for you to find a conducive, private space for the session - it is not recommended to do a session in a public setting e.g. a café and all expenses related to the venue will be borne by you.

  • It depends but I normally work on a package of 5 sessions to allow time and space for you to explore and discover. If additional sessions are needed, we can discuss as to how many and the associated rates with these extra sessions. Arrangement is different between individual and corporate clients.

  • My sessions are all in 60-min duration. There are times the sessions can be extended to 75-min if there are some things we need more time to close.

  • Everyone is different hence the intervals between the sessions vary. From experience, it is important to have a gap between the sessions so that you can process what arises in the session, and do the work before the next session. My recommendation is to have a minimum of 2 weeks gap.

  • There is no set way for a session. We would normally start the session with some grounding exercise, to anchor ourselves in the present moment. Based on the broad agreed upon goal earlier, there may be a specific intention and outcome for a particular session that is most present for you, and the inquiry will follow and flow accordingly.

  • The session is meant to be a safe space for you with no set agenda from my end; hence it is for you to decide what is best for you in going through the inquiry for deeper discovery. There will be times where you do not want to explore certain topics and this is perfectly fine. It is for you to raise this during our session.

  • I will continue to support you in-between sessions. I would be happy to do a quick exchange between us via email or Whatsapp, on anything that may arise for you post our sessions.

  • Please be advised that a late arrival (later than 15 minutes) will result in a reduction of the duration of your session due to the impact on other clients that follow. If you need to cancel, there should be a 48 hours’ notice; anything less than this notice, full fee will be charged.

  • I work on a sliding scale given the level of economic conditions of different countries and personal circumstances; this also differs between individual and corporate clients.

  • If you are residing in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore, you can have a direct transfer into my bank account to avoid any 3rd party charges; payment details will be shared when the agreement is established. If you are residing in countries other than the above, I use Wise.
